  • How does the app work?
    Any guest can download the app and start using it to better communicate with with their server in any restaurant with table service. Once downloaded the user clicks the appropriate screen to let their server know their status. GREEN tells your staff that the guest is all good and doesn't need anything. YELLOW indicates that the guest is ready to order. RED means that there may be an issue that the guest needs to be addressed. BLUE lets your staff know that the guest would like a refill. WHITE shows that the guest is finished and ready for the bill.
  • Is it really free?
    Yep. There is a small banner ad (using Google AdSense) near the bottom of the screen to help offset operational costs. No cost to the user, no cost to the restaurant.
  • I run a restaurant and want to try out the app....what is it going to really cost me?
    Nothing. Nada. Zip. Just send us an email or fill out the contact form and we'll send you everything to get started. No subscription cost, no monthly fees, no percentage of sales transactions. Just get started and see the positive effect from having all your guests get the attention they need when they need it.
  • I like going out to restaurants, why should I use Stoplight Service?
    Remember the last time you finished a wonderful meal and then felt frustrated sitting there waiting for your server to notice that you're done so you can get the bill? Stoplight Service helps to take away those frustrations. Restaurants (even the best ones) can be hectic and busy environments. Our app helps to lower the level of frustration by increasing communication using a simple and easy visual cue. Put your mind at ease and know that restaurant staff will see your status on the screen and work to meet your needs as soon as possible.
  • I already have amazing service staff, why would I need Stoplight Service?
    You might not! But it never hurts to try it out. Even the most gifted server can benefit from the app to take care of guests more efficiently. More importantly, the app can help guests with language barriers or anxiety quickly and easily communicate with your amazing staff. We find that other staff (bussers, hosts, managers, etc.) can notice a change in the guests status and can help to take care of the guest.
  • How does the app help me as a restaurant owner/manager?
    The app is designed to create a more intuitive and relaxed dining experience for your guests. During your busiest times think about the efficiency of knowing exactly when your guests are ready to order or ready for the bill. Quicker service and faster table turnover benefits everyone.
  • Does the app integrate with Point of Service units?
    Nope! We don't care if the restaurant uses Toast, Clover, Square, Lavu, TouchBistro, Revel, Lightspeed or any other system. Stoplight Service is completely independent and focuses on the user being able to quickly and effectively communicate with staff. The app works independently from any other system.
  • If I run a restaurant what will I get in my welcome kit?
    We will send you a welcome letter, a quick start guide, table stickers (if you want to use them) and a decal sticker for your entrance to let guests know about the app and how to download. If you want to integrate the QR code into any of your materials just send us an email and we'll send it over. Try it out and see if it works for you guests and staff.
